Compensation of optical nonlinearities in a femtosecond laser system in a broad operation regime

Abstract We present here a detailed study of compact and tunable nonlinear phase pre-compensation method based on chirped fiber Bragg grating (TCFBG) applied to an ultrafast laser system. Frequency resolved optical gating (FROG) measurements reveal significant variation in the output pulse shape due accumulated for varying energy repetition rate (even if is kept constant) The TCFBG, used as stretcher pre-compensating element this amplification (CPA) system, eliminates need additional shaping components which greatly simplifies system pre-compensation. demonstrate efficient between 0 14 rad resulting pulses with constant duration Strehl ratio over broad operating regime rates ranging from 100 kHz up 30 MHz energies spanning 1 µJ 70 µJ.
